Having resided in Alberta’s capital region for over a decade, Dr. Chin earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Alberta in 2007. Subsequently, he pursued his passion for dentistry and obtained his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Case Western Reserve University in 2012. Dr. Chin is an active member of the Alberta Dental Association and the Canadian Dental Association.

As an experienced general and family dentistry practitioner, Dr. Chin offers a wide range of services, including restorative procedures, implant restoration, cosmetic dentistry, and extractions. He remains committed to enhancing his clinical skills through ongoing continuing education and lifelong learning initiatives.

Alongside his partner Amanda, who serves as Norwood Dental’s Co-Owner and Office Manager, Dr. Chin embraces the joys of parenthood as they nurture their newborn son, Timothy, born in May 2019.

Dr. Shahzad Atashband, DDS, is a dedicated dental professional who received his education from the University of Sydney’s School of Dentistry, graduating in 2012. Dr. Atashband is an esteemed member of the Alberta Dental Association, the Canadian Dental Association, and the Edmonton District Dental Society. His career journey has taken him through rural Australia and Vancouver Island before establishing his practice in Edmonton.

Known affectionately as Dr. Shaz by both staff and patients, he is renowned for his compassionate approach to dentistry, treating each patient with the same level of care and attention he would offer to his own family members.

Outside of his dental practice, Dr. Shaz enjoys spending quality time with his wife, Aleisha. They share a passion for attending shows and events in Edmonton, as well as exploring new destinations through travel. Their love for outdoor adventures extends to hiking and exploring the various walking trails throughout the city. Dr. Shaz and Aleisha are proud parents to two beautiful boys, enriching their lives with love and joy.

Dr. Scott Bennett, DDS, has deep roots in the Edmonton area, having been raised just outside the city in Sherwood Park. His early connection to dentistry stemmed from his frequent visits to the Downtown Dental office as a patient and to see his father, instilling in him a passion for the field from a young age.

Dr. Scott pursued his undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree. Following this, he continued his education at the University of Alberta Dental School, graduating in 2005. Since then, he has been dedicated to serving his community as a dentist at the Downtown Dental location.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Scott remains actively involved with the University of Alberta Dental School as an associate clinical instructor. He finds great fulfillment in mentoring and teaching the next generation of dental professionals.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dr. Scott cherishes his role as a husband and father. He resides just outside the city with his wife and three children, whom he describes as the center of his life. Dr. Scott enjoys staying active with his family, embracing opportunities for outdoor adventures and quality time together.
